It turned out, according to Hector, all of the phones were owned.

"How do you own a phone?" I had asked.
"Easy, and not so easy," he said. "You go up and say,'I own this phone.'"
"What if someone else owns that phone?" I asked.
"Someone else always owns it," Hector said. "That's the not-so-easy part."

-Robert O'Connor, "The Left-Handed Sweeney and Vacation"

today was awesome i woke up at 1130 and sat on the deck and then i played guitar in my room real loud with the chord that drew stole last night, and then at 430 i decided to buy cd-r, look at network cards, see about the mix tapes, and just happened to stop at garage sales. i bought three cassette tapes(tom waits-foreign affairs, harry neilson-greatest hits, john coltran-love supreme), they had awesome other ones, but than it would cost more than a dollar. also i bought a poster that says "tryouts for the drunk olympics" for a quarter. i almost bought a stereo reciever, until the man told me that the sign i though said five dollars really said 55. and then i laughed and walked away. and then i went to more garage sales and some guy tried to sell me tweeters, and then i came home and now i am going to make a sandwich.

all three bands are practicing tomorrow, and i'm working at 7am. hotness.

i am awesome at dictating essays

Michelle Katz
Personal Essay
Linda Godfrey
26 April 2004

okay. The year: 2004. The place: cleveland, ohio. Bang. splash. ka-pow, budda budda. The world was in turmoil, with tensions rising in the middle east, blah blah blah....the world was looking for a hero. Somewhere on the busling streets of metropolitan Cleveland, surrounded by commerce buildings and drug users, and homeless people and baseball fans, there was a girl with brown hair walking. She approaches a news stand, for mere dollar she purchases a copy of the new york times. (If it were Sunday it would cost slightly more than a dollar, but would still pass for a bargain) she furiously tears through the pages, rending the paper at her mercy. Useless information is tossed aside for the crux of the days news. she returns to her unassuming bungalow and sorts the news print into her sizable archives. As she walks through the front door she takes from the coat stand a fedora and instantly she transforms into super michelle investigative journalist extraordinaire. And then she was all like “YO, EVERYBODY CHILL” aiming her big gun (a 38 special) and a pen. And then write about fuckin shit up in the middle east and going to big corporations and busting them ,and shooting criminals in the face without remorse.

JUDY BLUME

so as of last night 550 i had:
lost my notebook vital to my studying for my physics of sound test today,
lost my creative writing folder vital to me finishing my midterm portfolio for tomorrow,
was unable to find my contacts, had no beer and was planning on studying and working, as well as going to see all the presidents men at 730.

while this all may seem like bad luck/karma/chimmychanga, it was in fact a sign. my luck officially changed at 550 when my contact magically jumped from under a crumpled sock and landed on the floor at my feet. then bryan got beer. then christian magically showed up and put in 5 more dollars upgrading us from pisswater to mediocre tasting, highly alcholic nectar of the gods(note:keystone light to high life). it was then i realized that i could probably borrow all the presidents men from my teacher, thus allowing me to skip it tonight. also that without both my notebook and folder i could not do any work, nor study for my test.

somewhere in the night i think meg and mark called. and then bryan got mad cause someone called him icabod. but i dont remember saying it. and then he asked me if he should make himself puke. of course I would never embark on such a foolhardedly adventure. so in the spirit of curiousity is said 'yes'. while in my mind i was thinking, he's not gonna do it. he's not gonna make himself puke. he's not gonna do it. but he did.

in short i found my notebook this morning in the copy center in the exact spot i left it.

i attribute my relatively even drunkeness to the rapid consumption of guiness + bailey's. i mean the only different in the irish and italian flags is the red and the orange. and what's a little red and orange between friends.

in conclusion. bryan is irish. but he is too much irish. and i think the irish part came out in the toilet. i am just enough irish(translate as not at all. i hate the irish.)

goodday to you all

p.s. somewhere along i started talking with an irish accent. worst irish accent ever.

campus center full breakfast on thursdays= awesome

eating like 1/2 a pound of kiwi. i can still taste it.

I <3 mel gibson

if you want to learn about jesus, go to church, read a book. to see an dramatized 2 hour account of someone dying doesn't tell you anything about them besides dying sucks. wow. everyone dies. awesome. by concerntrating on death it takes advantage of people's emotional repsonses, which of course makes for a film that affects you, but watvhing someone get shot affects you. watching someone get burned alive inside of an oven, that affects you. but that doesn't make you chrisitian. more importantly it doesn't make you a prevatican II christian. if a person questions their religious beliefs after seeing a movie then it is sad that they have went through their life previous to that with such little thought to their stance on god. go see triumph of the will, you will feel differently about hilter. is that a good thing?

oh yeah and braveheart sucked ass. i <3 one sided characters and ideolized historical figures. "william wallace was so tough" yes, yes he was.

i<3 micheal moore

saw it last night. micheal moore proved his point to a degree, but everyone knows guns kill people, most people watching the movie are probably for gun control. his point is proven so weakly that i wonder why he even bothered to make it. probably because he had already put so much time into it he would have felt bad if it was completely wasted. what he doesnt say is why america has such a higher rate of gun violence compared to canada if both have the similar gun control laws. i think that its funny as hell that he asked charlton heston, a man who hasn't been at work for months on the subject, the question that he couldn't even answer himself. i know about school shootings, i know about america's military record. watching clips play with sarcastically sappy music doesn't makes me feel sad, but what the fuck if i want to feel manufactured emotions i could be watching montel or oprah. he insinuated that lockheed martin and the nra create somekind of culture of violence in america that doesn't exist in canada. this is not an anwser to his question. he insiniuates and doesnt state it because it allows him to avoid doing any real work. go find an old man even more unprepared than you to find the answer to gun violence in america. he trys to dismantle the pro-gun argument, but he uses it as a crutch to avoid leaving the audience with any real starting point for discussion. if he was spike lee and he made do the right thing than i would say yes. the answer to this question IS found in communication, there are no real answers. but this problem is not racism. there is a real answer. but after watching bowling for columbine i dont know it. but thanks micheal moore for not even coming close to an answer. then i might REALLY not like the movie.

spring break 8 days. good thing i got my GOOD shoes on. i'm probably going to need them. i hear its a long walk.

so people it's the one day of the year that andre's song happy valentine's day is appropriate. last night was pretty awesome. going to see some vocal concert where at i fell asleep in between every song and only woke up becasue the silence between the songs was way too quiet and my subconscious figured that everyone was just staring at me or something anyways. what else. went to the campus center and watched "love, actually" which is the most overly melodramatic movie i can remember seeing in a long time. which was fun because i broke out in laughter during all the really bad intimate moments.

right so now it's valentine's day and me and ma boy are laying down some music. putting drums on julie and writing a whole new song right now."it's a goddamn nuclear attack" that's right baby you love it. i am awesome. kanye man it's fox.

5 hours of sleep on a friday. time to definately set this party off right.

just watched big fish listening to kanye. so i just went into the bathroom to, well, do my business and i sit down and i notice someone in the next stall, now usually this would be a pretty normal occurance, in this case however, it being "thirsty thursday", there was a female using the toilet in a rather unconventional manner, sitting not on the seat, but on the floor with her scanty black underwear popping out of her sweat pants as she vomitted up whatever it was that left her crippled on the most disgusting tile floor in the central newyork area. so with me sitting there, and her sitting there, with her thong so close that if i so desired i could have snapped it, i try and relax, as unlikely as it seems i might as well make the best out of an allready degraded situation. so anyways there is no movement at all from my neighbor and it dawns on me that i could very well be sitting next to a dead person, casually relieving myself. sitting there. all of a sudden i start laughing at how close this person is. i think maybe it was the fact that i was trying to be quiet even though my toilet hugging friend obviously had more pressing issues. so to make a long story short:

i started laughing hysterically while shitting next to a drunk girl.

fun times

sunday i will be presenting the "st. valentines day massacre" ep from your boys. stay tuned

i am now going to attempt to explain the dream i had which most likely ran all night but which i just woke up from.

so the band is going to some show and was road rage some crazy man who looks kind of like the skin-suit guy in silence of the lambs. we continue and drive back to rochester because we need stuff for this mystery show. we meet at my grandma's house which the entire band is staying at with i think pat and pete rooming together and everyone else in the rest of the rooms. so adam eric and everyone goes somewhere and me, my grandma, mark, and pat drive the van in the worst snow storm ever to the house of guitars becuase for some reason my grandma's house was on hard rd. so half way there we have to walk probably because i crashed the van cause the roads were damn bad. so were walking and all of a sudden we are at some bed and breakfast type place. the band and some people from the group. and then all of a sudden we are at like a ski resort. and the guy who we flicked off is try to kill us so we have to stay away from the windows. and then when i waske up i go skiing. and that night we are in like a dorm room at the ski lodge and some girl starts making out with me. and then we go skiing again the next day. and somewhere near the beginning we play this show at like a car junk yard and its awesome. and then we sneak out because i think we broke something and drive through syracuse to get home. best dream ever.

last night we did some battle mcing. maybe im not the battle mc master but i rock the rhymes from hibernia to the wash. where is lisa deuel in this beotch?

since this is meg's home page i feel i need to put something in here. it is strange that in...31 hours i am going to be sitting in elementary french 1 class. this break has been pretty dEEc. laurne grabass is totally snoring in the bed behind me. aaaand marky baby is in his dorm, NIAGRA. driving back tomorrow. back to school. the toxic video is awesome. where is meg i have to find out where i'm damn sleeping. the song toxic is stuck in my head.that video has not completely absorbed into my being. i feel like if you are gonig to watch something you need to witness it on a level at understanding or better. like in the book stranger in a strange land that i read a very very long time ago the word grok is used. so the britney spears video is. snore snore. sleep sleep. time is going bye. likewise i must go.

i was watching moulin rouge. now im watching some audrey hepburn movie where she's a nun. where are all the hunting shows and people getting hit by cars. it's barely even sunday still.

today i went to my grandparents house where i learned that doctors are "full of shit" and "know nothing". and that the best medicine for everything is wine. im keeping my ears open so that when the time comes i can carefully filter the generational wisdom being pasted down to me from comments like this.

some lady just got beaten with a stick and now she's dead on the tv. i am jaded and unaffected. i wonder where they are. audrey hepburn is gonna kick some witch doctor ass. it's like doctor no meets rambo meets sabrina.

the nursing home is crazy as ever. those old people. sometimes i dont know. they are pretty crazy. ok they are way crazy. some of them dont even have alzheimers. but then again some of them do. and they are the extra crazy ones. someday i will be like them and i will finally understand what rebecca means. i am going to start writing down some of these conversations becasue it is impossible to this of them yourself. they have no/little relevance to anything rational. working there long enough definately makes you look at things differently. like frank sinatra. frank sinatra every day. and the cd skips. i have to go back there tomorrow.

harry conick jr movie= hot ass shit.

allright tomorrows gonna be sweet. what am i going to do this month?
